We are so excited to be launching our new website! ( Huge thank you to Amanda of Delighted Co. for the redesign and branding coordination. She put up with my sugar fueled ways and never missed a beat! That is not an easy thing to do. Merci Beaucoup Amanda!)
Thank you for following along with us on our new journey. For those of you just joining us and for those long time friends alike we decided to kick off the blog with a year end review.
2014 was such a fantastic year, we moved into our brand new amazing kitchen classroom, had our classes reviewed in a teeny tiny newspaper called the Wall Street Journal (!!) and worked along side many amazing bloggers and vendors. Thank you so much to all our students who made this year so much fun.
We kicked off 2014 with a one year anniversary party/macaron class taught by the lovely Mindy Cone. Mindy runs a lifestyle and party blog and has authored my favorite cookbook of all time, Gourmet French Macarons! The class was more fun than should be legal and all the students left with the cutest shaped macarons you have ever seen.
I mean come on! Hot dog, ice cream cones and football shaped macs! We ended the class with this cake to celebrate. Not gonna lie I had a huge piece for breakfast the next day.
In early spring we co-hosted a book signing with Glory of Glorious Treats. I still don't know how I have lived this long without her cheesecake mousse recipe. It's now my go to for a quick but beyond delicious sweet treat and let's face it who doesn't love dessert in a cute little jam jar?
In late Spring we moved into our current location and man oh man is it a match made in heaven. Centrally located by the SFO Airport and right off of highways 101 and 280. Parking is free (That's the city girl in me, always enamored by free parking) and we don't ever want to leave. The kitchen classroom is huge, brand new and (deep breath) has a walk in fridge! Perfect for storing all of our sharped edge cakes during our buttercream classes. To celebrate the new location we promptly bought a Kitchen Aid stand mixer in just about every color.
Fall had us busy hosting many corporate and private classes. Teaming up with Fulllosophie and Packed Party to celebrate a bunch of "Baking Bebs" was definitely a highlight.
To get into the spirit of Christmas and kick off winter we hosted an Instagram contest that featured 12 days of giveaways! We were fortunate enough to partner with our favorite brands (Fat Daddios, Land of Nod, and Kitchen Aid) for the contest! Thanks again to our vendors who helped make the contest possible!
Macaron sheets from Land of Nod...need I say more?
Our favorite way to celebrate the New Year is with cake! So we were over the moon when The Glitter Guide asked us to create the cake for their collaboration with Chandon. We are wishing you all the sweetest New Years and can't wait to bake with you and for you in 2015! -Hilary
